【摘要】:ThisStandardestablishesphysical,performance,andtestingrequirementsapplicabletomaceratingtoiletsystemsandrelatedcomponents.Suchsystemsareintendedtocollectwastefromasinglewatercloset,lavatory,and/orbathtublocatedinthesameroom,andgrindandpumpthesemaceratedwastestosomepointinthesanitarydrainagesystem.Themaceratingsystemiscomprisedofthreemajorcomponents:(a)Acontainerthathousestheoperatingmechanisms;(b)Apressurechamberthatautomaticallyormanuallyactivatesanddeactivatestheinductionmotor;and(c)Aninductionmotorthatdrivestheshredderbladesandpumpassembly,whichpermittedtobecombinedintoasingleunit.Theuseofalternativematerialsormethodsispermitted,provideditcanbedemonstratedthatsuchalternativescomplywiththeperformancerequirementsofthisStandard.
