【摘要】:ThispartofIEC60424givesguidanceonallowablelimitsofsurfaceirregularitiesapplicabletoplanar-coresinaccordancewiththerelevantgenericspecificationdefinedinIEC60424-1.TherelationsbetweenthemaindimensionsofplanarE-,ER-andEL-coresdifferfromthoseofstandardcores.Forexample,thewidthofplanarcoresislargerwhilethetotalheightismuchsmaller.Alsothethicknessofthelegsisinmostcasessmallerthancomparedtostandardcores.Thereforetheconceptoffixedreferencedimensionstodeterminethelengthofcracklimitsyieldcracklengthswhicharenotacceptableforthistypeofcore.ThispartofIEC60424followsanotherconceptwhichrelatesthecracklengthtodimensionsofthesurfaceonwhichthecrackoccurs.Alsotheconcepttodeterminethemaximumareaofchipsbasedonthetotalmatingsurfacefailsinthecaseofplanarcores.Theouterlegsofplanarcoresaremuchthinnerthanthoseofstandardcoreswhichmakesoverlappingandgluingmuchmoredifficult.Asinglechipofmaximumsizeontheouterlegmayriskthefunctionalityofthecoreset.Thereforethisstandardusesasareferencethematingsurfaceonwhichthechipoccurs.WindingsofplanarcoresareoftenPCB’swhicharegluedtotheinnersurfacesoftheplanarcore.Forthisreasontheinnersurfacesoftheplanarcoresneedtohaveabetterqualitythantheinnersurfacesofstandardcores.Thiswastakenintoaccountbyreducingthemaximumallowableareaofpulloutsintheinnersurfaces.Thisstandardisconsideredasasectionalspecificationusefulinthenegotiationbetweenferritecoremanufacturersandusersaboutsurfaceirregularities.
