【摘要】:1.1Thisspecificationcoversfittingsandsingleandcoextrudedacrylonitrile-butadiene-styrene(ABS)plasticdrain,waste,andventpipe(DWV)madetoSchedule40ironpipesizes(IPS).PlasticwhichdoesnotmeetthematerialrequirementsspecifiedinSection5isexcludedfromsinglelayerandallcoextrudedlayers.1.2SpecificationforfittingsforusewithpipemeetingtherequirementsofthisspecificationaregiveninAnnexA1.1.3Acrylonitrile-butadiene-styreneplastic,whichdoesnotmeetthedefinitionofvirginABSplasticasgivenin3.2.2,isexcluded,asperformanceofplasticotherthanthosedefinedasvirginwasnotdetermined.ABSreworkplastic,whichmeetstherequirementsofreworkplasticasgivenin5.3,isacceptable.1.4ReprocessedplasticorrecycledplasticasdefinedinTerminologyD883isexcluded.1.5Recommendationsforstorage,joining,andinstallationareprovidedinAppendixX1,AppendixX2,andAppendixX3,respectively.1.6Thetextofthisspecificationreferencesnotes,footnotes,andappendixeswhichprovideexplanatorymaterial.Thesenotesandfootnotes(excludingthoseintablesandfigures)shallnotbeconsideredasrequirementsofthespecification.1.7Thevaluesstatedininch-poundunitsaretoberegardedasstandard.ThevaluesgiveninparenthesesaremathematicalconversionstoSIunitsthatareprovidedforinformationonlyandarenotconsideredstandard.
